- One end bent, one end straight. The right-angle plug turns the cable flat against the wall the moment it leaves the socket, so the television or the cabinet can sit closer to the wall than a straight plug allows. The other end is an ordinary straight plug.
- White, to match a light-coloured wall. A white jacket with white connector boots — for a run along a skirting board, up a painted wall, or anywhere a dark cord would show. We stock the same lead with a black jacket if that suits the room better.
- A male plug at BOTH ends. It runs from the wall plate to the television, set-top box or PVR. Two male plugs will not mate with each other, so it cannot be used to join two leads together.
- 1.8 m. The usual wall-plate-to-television run, with enough slack to dress the cable behind a cabinet or down the back of a wall-mounted set.
- PAL (Belling-Lee) fittings. The standard Australian TV aerial connector — the same round plug used on wall plates, televisions, set-top boxes and PVRs.
- 75 Ω 3C-2V coaxial cable. Twin shielded, the standard domestic TV aerial specification for digital free-to-air.
- Moulded strain relief at both ends. The cable flexes at the boot rather than at the solder joint — which matters more on the angled end, where the cord is under a constant sideways bend.
Product Overview
A 1.8 metre WHITE TV aerial lead with a PAL (Belling-Lee) male plug at each end: one straight, and one turned through a RIGHT ANGLE.
The angled plug is the point of it. A straight plug projects out of the wall socket and then the cable has to bend, which is what stops a television or a cabinet sitting flush. The right-angle end leaves the socket sideways and the cable runs flat along the wall straight away.
Check the ends before ordering. Both ends are male plugs, so this runs from a wall plate to a television, set-top box or PVR. If you are trying to make a lead you already own longer, you want a male-to-female extension instead, which is a different product — two male plugs will not mate with each other.
