Product Overview
Connect an older composite AV source to an HDMI television, monitor or projector. This set adds a 1.5m HDMI lead to our captive-lead converter, so the cable from the converter to the display is included. The supplied USB power cable completes the connection to your suitable USB power source.
Plug the yellow, white and red male plugs on your existing source-device AV lead into the matching female sockets on the converter. The attached 30cm input lead gives room to position the converter without extra RCA couplers. Use the included full-size HDMI male-to-male cable to reach your display.
The side switch selects 720p or 1080p output. The converter accepts PAL, NTSC and SECAM composite signals and carries stereo audio alongside the picture. Upscaling changes the output format; it does not recreate detail missing from the original recording or game.
Power the micro-USB port using the supplied USB cable and a 5 V, 1 A USB power source. The source-device AV lead and USB power adaptor are not supplied. This converter works only from composite AV to HDMI: it does not convert HDMI to AV, accept component video or VGA, or output 4K.
