2 Metre White Figure-8 Power Lead — Australian Mains Plug to IEC C7
A 2 metre white figure-8 mains lead: an Australian two-pin wall plug at one end, an IEC C7 figure-8 socket at the other. Electrically the same lead a standard figure-8 appliance already uses — in white rather than black.
Check compatibility
Check the socket shape before ordering. This is the standard round-bodied C7. Some slimmer appliances take a flattened C7 with one squared side, which is a different moulding and will not seat properly on this lead. The photographs show the connector straight on so it can be compared against the appliance.
Key product details
- Australian compliant & approved – RCM compliance mark on the plug, approved for Australian 240V mains
- White, not black — so it disappears against a white console or appliance. Almost every figure-8 lead sold in Australia is black, which means a white console ends up with a black cord running out of the back of it. This is the same lead in the colour that matches.
- Colour-matched to the white hardware that uses this connector: the Sega Dreamcast, PlayStation 5 and PS5 Slim, the Glacier White PlayStation 4, the Xbox Series S and the Xbox One S — plus white televisions, monitors, printers, soundbars and radios.
- 2 metres — a little more reach than the cord most appliances ship with. Enough to get from a console or television down to a skirting-height outlet without stretching, and short enough that the surplus does not have to be coiled and hidden.
- IEC 60320 C7 figure-8 socket — the standard round-bodied two-pin connector found on the Dreamcast, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series S, wall-mounted and desktop televisions, printers, monitors, soundbars, radios, DVD and Blu-ray players, cameras and battery chargers.
- Genuine Australian two-pin flat mains plug, moulded directly onto the cable in a low-profile round body. Not a US, UK or European plug, and not a travel adaptor fitted to the end of a cord.
- 0.75 mm² two-core, double insulated, rated 7.5 A at 250 V, white. Two-core unearthed, which is what a figure-8 appliance expects.
About this item
The colour is the point. A white console sitting on a white shelf, or a white television on a white wall, is undone by the black cord that came in the box. Figure-8 leads are made in white, they are simply much harder to find in Australia than the black ones, and almost nobody stocks them in a useful length with a proper Australian plug on the end.
What it fits. Anything with a figure-8 socket: the Sega Dreamcast, the PlayStation 5 and PS5 Slim, the PlayStation 4 including the Glacier White edition, the Xbox Series S and Xbox One S, and the wider run of white consumer hardware — televisions, monitors, printers, soundbars, radios and disc players. If the socket on the appliance has two rounded holes side by side, this is the lead.
Two-core, double insulated and unearthed, which is correct for a figure-8 appliance — a figure-8 lead never carries an earth pin.
