Product Overview
A 2 metre white figure-8 mains lead: an Australian two-pin wall plug at one end, an IEC C7 figure-8 socket at the other. Electrically the same lead a standard figure-8 appliance already uses — in white rather than black.
The colour is the point. A white console sitting on a white shelf, or a white television on a white wall, is undone by the black cord that came in the box. Figure-8 leads are made in white, they are simply much harder to find in Australia than the black ones, and almost nobody stocks them in a useful length with a proper Australian plug on the end.
What it fits. Anything with a figure-8 socket: the Sega Dreamcast, the PlayStation 5 and PS5 Slim, the PlayStation 4 including the Glacier White edition, the Xbox Series S and Xbox One S, and the wider run of white consumer hardware — televisions, monitors, printers, soundbars, radios and disc players. If the socket on the appliance has two rounded holes side by side, this is the lead.
Check the socket shape before ordering. This is the standard round-bodied C7. Some slimmer appliances take a flattened C7 with one squared side, which is a different moulding and will not seat properly on this lead. The photographs show the connector straight on so it can be compared against the appliance.
