Product Overview

An RCA Y splitter with three sockets. A single female RCA socket at one end and two female RCA sockets at the other, so one signal can be sent to two destinations. Push the lead from your source into the single socket, then run a lead from each of the two sockets to wherever the signal needs to go.

Because it is a rigid moulded adaptor rather than a cable, there is nothing to tangle or wear out at a flex point and it adds almost no length. It sits neatly at the end of a lead you already own, which is what makes it useful when the run is already the right length and you simply need one more output.

The adaptor is passive and unamplified, so it handles stereo audio, subwoofer LFE, composite video and digital coaxial equally well. One point worth knowing: both output sockets carry exactly the same signal, because they are joined inside the moulding. That is precisely what you want for feeding two subwoofers or two amplifiers from one output, but it does not separate a left and a right channel and it will not turn mono into stereo.

Please check the gender before ordering. This adaptor is all sockets — three female RCA connectors, so it needs a male-ended lead plugged into it. If you want to push the single end straight into a socket on the back of a device, you need the male-plug version instead, which is a different part.

Check the gender before ordering. This one is all sockets — one RCA socket in, two RCA sockets out — so both leads plug into it. If your source end is a plug, the part you want is the 1 plug to 2 socket Y splitter. For a splitter with a lead on it, see the 1.2m subwoofer Y splitter cable. Coming from a 3.5mm output instead, use the 3.5mm to 2x RCA socket adaptor.

Still not sure? Use the Cable Finder — pick your console and it shows you the exact lead that fits.
