This heavy-duty composite AV cable connects your Sega Mega Drive 2 or 3 (Genesis 2 / 3) to a television or capture device using standard RCA (composite) inputs. The 9-pin AV plug fits the console's AV port, and the other end terminates in three colour-coded RCA plugs – yellow for composite video, plus red and white for stereo audio.
Heavy-Duty Build: Unlike the thinner flat leads, this version uses a thicker, round cable for a more robust and durable feel. It stands up to being moved and re-routed without the flimsiness of a standard flat cable – a great choice if you want something that will last.
Wide Compatibility: Works with the Sega Mega Drive 2 and Mega Drive 3, and the equivalent Genesis 2 and 3, in both PAL and NTSC regions. If your display, recorder or upscaler has the familiar yellow/red/white RCA sockets, this cable will connect your console to it.

If you would rather have the cheaper standard flat lead, see the standard Mega Drive 2 / 3 AV cable. For an original Mega Drive 1 / Genesis 1 / Master System 1 you need the Mega Drive 1 AV cable, and for a Sega Saturn the Saturn AV cable. Count the pins on your console’s AV port: 5-pin DIN = Mega Drive 1 / Genesis 1 / Master System 1, 9-pin mini-DIN = Mega Drive 2 or 3 / Genesis 2 or 3 / 32X / Nomad, 10-pin Multi-AV = Saturn.
