Product Overview
A replacement composite AV lead for the Xbox 360 E. The 3.5 mm plug goes into the round AV jack on the back of the console and the three RCA plugs on the other end go into the matching yellow, red and white sockets on your television.
This is the one console in the family that needs this cable. A lead made for the original Xbox 360, or for the Xbox 360 S, will not fit it: both of those consoles use a wide multi-pin AV socket, and the E model dropped that socket and fitted a single 3.5 mm jack in its place. If the AV output on the back of your console is a small round hole rather than a wide slot, this is the right cable.
Composite works with any television, monitor, projector, VCR or capture card that has the three coloured RCA sockets, which makes it the practical choice for a CRT, an older flat panel, or a capture setup. There is nothing to configure and nothing to power — plug it in and the console outputs picture and stereo sound straight away.
The lead is finished in black throughout. A moulded splitter carries the single trunk out to the three RCA heads, which are colour-coded yellow, red and white to match the sockets they go into. The 3.5 mm plug carries four contacts rather than the usual three, which is what allows one jack to pass video as well as left and right audio.
