Product Overview
This lead plays a camcorder back through a television. The slim 4-pole 3.5mm plug goes into the camera's AV OUT socket and the three RCA plugs go into the TV: yellow to composite video, red and white to the right and left audio inputs.
Length: the cable measures 1.5 metres – 150 cm, so the camera can sit on a table or shelf beside the TV rather than balanced on top of it. The right-angle plug lies flat against the camera body, which is easier on the socket than a straight plug when the camera is resting on its base.
Please check the pin order before buying – this is the important one. Camera makers wired this connector in more than one order, and this lead is the white-tip version: 1 white (tip), 2 yellow, 3 ground, 4 red. It suits cameras wired that way – commonly JVC and Sony models. If your camera expects a different order you may get no picture, or audio and video swapped over. If you are unsure, check your camera's manual or message us with the model and we will tell you whether this is the right one.
What this is not. It is not an S-Video lead, and it is not a plain 3.5mm to two-RCA audio cable – those carry no picture. It is also not one of the short adaptors that give you three RCA sockets to plug your own cable into; this is a full 1.5 metres lead with three RCA plugs on the end.
