3.5mm Stereo Plug to 2x RCA – 5 Metre Audio Adaptor Lead
This is the lead that gets a modern device into an older stereo. One end is a standard 3.5 mm stereo plug; the other splits into two RCA plugs, red and black, for the left and right channel inputs on an amplifier, receiver, hi-fi or powered speakers. At 5 metres the source can sit right across the room from the amp – a turntable or CD player on the far side, a subwoofer in a corner, or a run tucked along the skirting board and back up behind a cabinet.

Please read before buying
- It is not a microphone lead. A headset that carries a mic uses a 4-pole TRRS plug; this is a 3-pole stereo cable and will not pass microphone audio.
- It cannot convert digital audio. If your TV only has an optical or HDMI audio output, this lead will not help – you would need a digital-to-analogue converter first.
- The two RCA plugs are a stereo pair (left and right), not a single subwoofer connection.
Within that, it does one job properly: it turns a headphone socket into a pair of RCA plugs.
