About this item
Length: the lead measures 1.2 metres – 120 cm, which is the length for two units that already sit together: enough to reach around the back of a shelf and loop neatly behind the gear, without a surplus two metres of cable to coil up and hide. The cable is shielded, which is what keeps mains hum and nearby interference out of a low-level audio signal even in a crowded cabinet where it runs alongside mains leads.
Plug colours: the plugs are red and black. Red is the conventional right channel and black the left. Some equipment and some cables use red and white instead – the wiring is identical, only the collar colour differs, so a red/black lead works exactly the same into red/white sockets.
Please check the ends you need. This lead has plugs on both ends. It is not an extension – it will not make an existing RCA lead longer, because there is no socket to plug that lead into. It is also not a 3.5mm adaptor: there is no headphone-style jack on either end, and it carries audio only, with no video.
