Product Overview
This is the heavy-duty option in our Xbox One power supply range. It is a complete replacement for the large external brick used by the original Xbox One console, and it arrives with the Australian mains lead already in the box, so you can be back up and running straight away.
What separates it from a standard replacement is the rating. This unit delivers 12V DC at 17.9A, plus a 5V standby rail at 1A - 220W in total, which matches the output rating of the power supply the console originally shipped with. Most replacement bricks on the market are rated at 135W. Those will run the console, but this one carries the full original headroom, which is what you want if your console works hard, sits in a warm room, or runs with a Kinect attached.
It is the low-noise version, with an improved cooling fan and revised internal structure. Protection is built in on four fronts - short-circuit, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature - and the housing is a flame-retardant ABS/PC moulding. The unit is tested for temperature, vibration and drop, and holds line and load regulation to within 5%.
Two leads are involved and they are different lengths. The captive 80 cm lead runs from the brick to the console. The 1.2 m Australian 3-pin mains lead runs from the wall to the brick and is detachable (standard IEC), so if the cord is ever damaged you can replace just the cord rather than the whole supply.
There is a status LED on the front. Green means the supply is working and the console can be switched on; amber means standby. If the light is off or blinking, the supply has detected a fault - which makes it much easier to tell whether a power problem is the brick or the console.
Please note: this supply is for the original Xbox One only. The Xbox One S and Xbox One X have their power supplies built into the console and do not use an external brick, so this will not fit those models. It is also not for the Xbox 360 or the Xbox Series X/S.
