How to connect
- Remove the protective cap and align the keyed male plug with the device’s full-size optical port.
- Insert gently without forcing the connector, then orient the swivelling body for the cable route.
- Plug your existing full-size Toslink cable into the female socket. Leave space for the adapter and avoid tight bends or pulling on the cable.
The 90° elbow is fixed; the 360° movement is rotation about the male plug axis. It does not hinge open or bend. This adapter changes the connector route, without converting the audio signal or adding formats the equipment does not support.
A straight female-to-female Toslink coupler serves a different purpose: joining two optical cables. This right-angle male-to-female adapter instead fits between a device’s optical socket and an existing cable.
