3.5mm Stereo Aux Cable – 1.2 Metres, Male to Male Shielded Audio Lead

Quick Specs & Highlights

  • 1.2 metres (120 cm) – the everyday length for a car or a desk
  • 3.5 mm stereo TRS plug on both ends (male to male)
  • Shielded cable to help keep engine whine and mains hum out of the audio
  • Moulded strain relief at both plugs
  • Works with any device that has a 3.5 mm headphone or line socket
  • Black, slim and flexible – tucks neatly along a dash or behind a desk

Product Overview

A straight 3.5 mm stereo audio lead with a standard 3-pole TRS plug at each end, in the everyday 1.2 metre length. Long enough to run from a phone in a cupholder to the car’s AUX socket, or from a laptop to a set of desk speakers, without a spare metre of cable pooling in the footwell. If you need to cross a room, we also list a 3 metre version of this same lead.

What you can use it for

  • Car audio – phone, tablet or MP3 player into the car’s AUX input
  • Powered speakers, an amplifier or a hi-fi – from a headphone or line-out socket
  • TV, projector or a games console into a soundbar or stereo system
  • Desktop and laptop audio – sound card out to monitors or a mixer

Please read before buying

This is a passive stereo audio lead, so a few things are worth stating plainly:

  • It is not a microphone or headset lead. Headsets that carry a mic use a 4-pole TRRS plug; this is a 3-pole stereo TRS cable and will not pass microphone audio.
  • It is not an amplifier – it carries a line or headphone level signal and does not boost it.
  • It will not fit 6.35 mm (quarter-inch) sockets without a separate adapter.

Within that, it is simply a long, well-made aux lead that does the job without fuss.
