About this item
The converter takes the standard AV signal from the console's AV MULTI OUT port, upscales it to 720p/1080p and sends picture and sound to your TV over the included HDMI cable. The plug sits on a short lead to a small box with a full-size HDMI socket and a micro-USB power socket (marked DC-5V).
Complete your setup
Need a longer USB power lead than the supplied one? Choose our 1.8 m USB-A to micro-USB cable or 3 m USB-A to micro-USB cable. Match the micro-USB socket. These are optional replacements for the supplied short lead; use a suitable USB power source.

It works with PAL and NTSC consoles, so Australian and imported machines are both fine.
How to connect
- Push the plug into the AV MULTI OUT port on the back of the console.
- Run the included HDMI cable from the box to your TV.
- Connect the USB power lead to a TV USB port, the console's USB port or a phone charger.
- Select that HDMI input on the TV.
Picture
The picture is as sharp as a good AV connection, upscaled so HDMI TVs accept it. It does not add detail that was never in the game. Sound travels over HDMI; there is no separate headphone jack. It works one way only, console to TV.
