About this item
The adapter pushes straight into the AV MULTI OUT port on the back of the console, with no extra lead. It passes the console's own picture through to HDMI at the resolution the game sends – 480i, 576i or 480p – and the TV scales it to fill the screen. It does not upscale or add detail. A 3.5 mm jack gives audio out for headphones or powered speakers at the same time as HDMI sound.

Set this first
In the PS2's System Configuration menu set Component Video Out to Y Cb/Cr, not RGB, or the colours will be wrong.

A few TVs (some Samsung models) won't show 576i over HDMI; most TVs accept it.
How to connect
- Push the adapter into the AV MULTI OUT port.
- Run the included HDMI cable from the adapter to your TV.
- Connect the USB power lead to a TV USB port, the console's USB port or a phone charger.
- Select that HDMI input on the TV.
